rooms are not the most spacious but very clean. many activities can be booked from the hotel. Nice location with open places for seeing the northern lights. nice in the winter to have a drink in the bar in the evening. The food in the restaurant is very good and delicious!
We were there for Anna&Stefan’s wedding. Stuff is so helpful, friendly and smiling all the time; felt us very calm and peaceful. Hotel is plain and beatiful. Rooms are comfortable and clean.
The most friendly and helpful staff, delicious food and nice breakfast spread. Comfortable beds and nice rooms. Cozy bar and dining room, many fun activities and beautiful surroundings
We had a great experience staying one night in the Aurora Hideaway, a small cabin with 3 glass walls, electricity and no running water. The views from the Aurora Hideaway are stunning, facing the river and the open sky. We enjoyed a gift basket with bubbles and snacks while overlooking the scenery. The bed was comfortable, the sheets very warm and cozy, even though the temperature dropped to -20C at night the cold did not bother us at all. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and accomodating. The main building is tastefully decorated and here you find common areas like bar, restaurant and sauna. I can warmly recommend a stay at the Arctic River Lodge. Next time I would consider taking a husky tour.
Stayed for 7 nights here on our winter trip and can only say good things about this place. Staff is really helpful and friendly.
Food was great and way better than expected. Good variety with a lot of local specialities and a very nice wine list.
The standard room that we had was spacious although the bathroom and especially the shower was a bit on the smaller side.
Plenty of choice for winter activities with passionate guides.
We were there in a wedding and after a long journey we did receive a very nice attention from the personnel working there, kind and helpful (Many thanks!).
There are plenty of facilities for a relaxing time. Highly recommend not only in winter but in summer time as well.
The rooms are tiny, especially with the 3 of us. The third bed is a sleeper couch that makes the room even smaller. The bathroom is tiny too. The shower is 60x60 cm and the tiny sink is placed straight in the corner, which is not handy. Xplore the North offer a 4 day vacation with direct flight and food included... you leave at 7.00 AM, have 3 flights and arrive on Thursday at 5.00 PM, without any foodso far. (Not even on tbe plane or the 2,5 hour bus ride). On Sunday you leave at 6.00 AM... so only 2 full days.
The staff is extremely kind though!
Showers didn't offer enough space for a comfortable shower.
